Tips for better sucess with this type of traveling blocks:

  1. Inform your group that it is ok if they only complete 2 moves in the 8 counts, just keep changing direcions at appropriate times.
  2. Inform your group that if someone is holding you up by being in front of you that they can do moves in place more powerfully or in a different working position for more intensity.
  3. Teach each movement first, with no counts, direction changes, or travel.
  4. Add 2 movements together 8 each/then 4 each, then add direction and travel.
  5. On suspended moves give option of jogging and build up to this combo slowly. A suspended working position is more difficult for some than others depending on body type.
  6. On kick back travel forward, all pregnant or low back problems, keep back foot on ground.
  7. Best if participants are at chest depth in the water.
