Intervals with Dale Bridges

This is an Aquatic pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 1288)

Take class up and back several times. I do not stick to 8 or 4 necessarily. I want them to MOVE! Then stop and do the intensity of leap frogs as many as they can. If they tire, tell them to lift one foot at a time, then go back to doubles or call it that way if you want. I try to make them do about 30 seconds worth.

Dale builds combinations with lots of traveling either up and back, side to side, or circling. She then adds an interval segment either 20-20-20 or 30-30-30 seconds building intensity. She also tries to use opposing muscles and change levers. That way you get all benefits of the water resistance and of course use those arms pushing and pulling, cupping the hands and changing directions. Interval is excellent for the heart. Change the interval to runs, skis, licks, whatever. Be creative. Give these a try!
