Vera's Cardio Step
This is a
Step pattern from

(pattern 1213)
Step is vertical. All combinations begin on the left side of the step with the
right lead. I like combos that give me an automatic lead change! I've given some
suggestions to vary the movements. Add power where needed.
Combo #1
- 4 Turnsteps (16)
- Over the top (4)
- Tap up 3x (12)*
- Repeat with the left lead on the right side of the step
*You can progress to three knees, hip adductors, glute lifts,
hamstring curls or a combination of the three.
Combo #2
- 3 knee repeaters (8)*
- Corner to corner, diagonal right (4)
- Tap up 1x (4)
- Repeat with the left lead on the right side of the step
*You can start out with two separate knees or tap up twice for the eight
counts to start out this combo.
Combo #3
- 3 A steps (12)
- Hop turn with the left lead (4)
- Walk* around the step (8)
- 4 jacks (8)
- Repeat on the right side of the step with the left lead.
*Skip or jog
Combo #4
- Tap* up 3x (12)
- 1 Turnstep right lead (4)
- Tap* up 3x (12)
- Hop turn with the left lead (4)
- Repeat on the right side with the left lead
*Hop up
Combo #5
- 3 knee raise straddles (12)--knee, straddle, knee, straddle, knee
- Exit the step on the left
- 1 Turnstep, right lead (4)--You are facing the back of the room
- Repeat with left lead
