Kansas Double-Step
This is a
Double Step pattern from

Vertical double step
Left step is home (H), right step is neighbor (N)
Block 1:
- Basic right (H) (4)
- 2 Jacks (4)
- L-step (4)
- L-step back over to the N (4)
- Basic left N (4)
- 2 Jacks (4)
- L-step (4)
- L-step back over to H step (4)
Block 2:
- Knee/Side/Ham repeater (position yourself on left side of H) (8)
- Over H to right (positioned between the benches) (4)
- Turnstep right lead on N (now facing back of room between benches) (4)
- Chug left lead (curb-walk/stomp or whatever you call it) 4 times moving forward
toward back of room (8)
- Over N with left lead (4)
- U-turn to face the front (you are now on right side facing front with left leg
next to N bench) (4)
Repeat from Knee/Side/Ham repeater on left
Block 3:
- Squat right foot on bench and come up on top (H) (4)
- Squat down right foot between benches and come back up on bench (H) (4)
- Lunges down x 3 (left/right/left) exit right between benches (8)
- Alt Ham curls x 2 (right lead on N and left lead on H) (8)
- Knee up straddle over N (ending on right of N) (8)
Now ready to repeat with left lead
Block 4:
- Alternating glute kicks X 4 (H bench corner to corner) beginning with right lead
and after last one come back over to right lead as if to do another glute kick but
instead go (16)
- Over right lead H (ending up between benches facing front of room) (4)
- Knee up (H) (4)
- Over right lead N (4)
- 2 Jacks (4)
Now ready to repeat combination on left lead
Block 5:
- Turn straddle come up on top (H) (6)
- Lunge back (shooter/right/left/right/left) and come down to floor after last (10)
- Turnstep X 3 (beginning with right lead using both benches - right on H left
on N and visa-versa) (12)
- (You are now facing left wall with left foot next to N bench)
- Knee up off the end to position yourself facing left wall still but facing
horizontal N bench (4)
(Optional - you can now either repeat this pattern beginning with a left turn/straddle
or continue with the next block)
Block 6:
- (Beginning facing side of room, facing horizontal bench)
- Alternating 2 knee repeater jacks X 4 (32) (With right lead
do a 2 knee repeater and one jacks on the floor then with
left lead do a 2 knee repeater with one jacks on the floor
and repeat (right/left/right/left)
Now you are ready to begin block 5 again with left lead.
