At the end you can hold on the A-step x 8 and begin again to repeat the entire pattern.
To Teach:
Part I is pretty simple - just repeat 2 or 3 times until everyone is with you.
Part II I hold on the Turnstep lunge until everyone is with me and is
performing it correctly. Then I hold the Turnstep lunge/knee-lift/lunge and
turn/lunge/knee-lift/ lunge till everyone is with me and is performing the
move correctly. This can take a few minutes but don't give up on them - I
have many beginners who learn this and do great! The rest of Part II is
pretty simple - I then go over all of Part II several times till everybody
gets it.
Part III is pretty simple - just repeat it several times.
Finally, put it all together and repeat it several times. My class loves
this pattern! As I said, even the beginners can do this successfully. Don't
give up on your students. They can and will meet the expectations you have
for them. You can always hold on the A-steps if people are getting confused
and go back to the beginning.
"Shoot-the-Hoop" is a Knee lift with a hop pushing the arms up like you're
shooting a basketball.
