This is a Step pattern from (pattern 701)

Block A

Scissors variation: Allow students to practice this on the floor before they attempt it on the step--helps their confidence levels!
Right knee up, touch back right, switch legs 2x, right knee, step down
Repeat starting with L step to the right

Block B

Over the top variation: Speed up left right left (on counts 1 and 2) heel dig right 2x (on counts 3, 4)
Repeat starting with k/s/o right

Block C

Pony variation: Again, practice on floor before going to the step Step touch 3x goes to cha-cha-cha 3x (Right left right, left right left, etc.) Kind of an Irish jig feel.
Repeat opposite leg

Block D

Fancy ham variation: first hamcurl is normal; on second curl, support leg pivots back so second hamcurl is to back side of step, then pivots back to front side; third hamcurl is normal.
Repeat opposite leg.

Have fun! My students love this one because they have control over the type of workout they can get-- advanced or beginners!
