Step is horizontal.
Pattern 1:
- Basic right 2X
- Charleston (knee or kick) 2X
- Basic right 2X
- V-step right 2X
- Left knee lift 2X
- Repeat with opposite leg
- Transition:
- Basic right 2X
- Basic left 2X, move to the right
Pattern 2:
- L-step 2X
- A-step 3X
- L-step 2X
- A-step 3X
- Repeat with L-step with knee lift, or repeaters
- Transition:
- Basic left 2X
- Basic right 2X
- Alternate knee lift 4X
- Turnstep 2X
Pattern 3:
- Leg lift 2X
- Turnstep
- Leg lift 2X
- Turn straddle
- Repeat leg lift and repeat pattern with other moves
Pattern 4:
- Turnstep 2X
- Turn straddle
- Tap up 2X
- Knee lift 2X
- Corner to corner (diagonal)
- Knee lift 3X moving back
- Repeat pattern with other leg
Pattern 5:
- Turnstep
- Hamstring curl 2X
- Corner to corner
- Hamstring repeater 3X
- Over the top (or straddle)
- Hamstring curl 3X moving back
- Repeat pattern with the other leg
Pattern 6:
- Knee (side, hamstring) repeater 3X
- Straddle (or A-step)
- Knee (side, hamstring) repeater 3X
- Knee lift 2X
- Corner to corner
- Knee lift 2X
- Over the top
- Knee lift to the corner singles,
- Alternate knee lift(or leg back and squeeze)
- Turnstep (in odd number one, or three times)
- Repeat pattern with the other leg
Pattern 7:
- Basic right 2X
- V-step 2X
- Alternate knee lift 2X
- Turnstep 2X
- Corner to corner
- Knee lift 2X
- Over the top
- Knee lift to the corner 2X
- Repeat with other leg
I use the above patterns in the sequence listed so that the class can
get used to the movements. The patterns are simple but keep everyone
moving. Have fun.
