Hilo Off We Go

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 1577)

Hi. I've been away for a while. Have new email address. Hope you can understand my pattern nomenclature, as I tend to invent my own names for things. This is an add-on format, all starting with a right lead. I teach all styles and intensities of classes, but this is an example of a medium intensity class (i.e. not for beginners)

Combo 1

Combo 2

On 3rd easy walk increase intensity by doing forward, forward, with 2 jumps back

Combo 3

Double jack = 2 counts out 2 counts in
Repeat

Combo 4

An elephant jump = 3 out and 1 in, (variation on double jack) - arms = front raise "like an elephant's trunk" with a clap on count 4

Combo 5

Grapevine with heel jacks = grapevine right as normal 1,2,3, heel jack left on count 4 then heel jack right and left (8 counts) --followed by reverse.
Cancan = 1 knee lift, 1 high kick same leg

Combo 6

Complicated, but worth trying!

Combo 7

Shimmy = Squat with shoulder "ripple" Mambo = step forward, step back same leg

My choreography tends towards the complicated, but with good cueing and example, you can teach this to the willing easily.
