Connie Jo's Pattern #1
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 1584)
Start at the side of your step.
Right leg leads.
- Cross-over 2X (8)
- Cross-over with a straddle 1X (8)
- March 4 steps back to the original side of the step (or hop turn) (4)
- Knee up 1X, side leg raise 1X, hamstring curl 1X (12)
Now you are ready to repeat the pattern with the left leg leading on the
cross-overs.
I like to keep it simple while working the entire lower body. The hop turn
substitution gives the class a chance to add some power.
More explanation:
Start at the side of your step.
- Lead right. Cross-over 2X (8)
- Lead right. Cross-over with a straddle (8)
(Cross-over with a straddle: step up up, straddle down, step up
up and down down to the opposite side.)
- The foot closest to the step (left) leads, march around to the
original side of the step (you end up facing in the opposite
direction then when you began (4) (or substitute a hop turn for the
4 marches)
- Knee up 1X, side leg raise 1X, hamstring curl 1X (12)
I just signed onto the Internet. When I searched for "STEP AEROBICS" this page came up. I am thrilled to know there are so many people
out there like me who love to find, create and share new patterns.
