This is a
Double Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 1599)
Steps are placed vertically at least 2 - 3 feet apart. "The Gap" is the
space in between the steps. Pattern starts from the gap.
- Big turnstep right (stop on the end of the step facing the gap) (4)
- L step back (end on outside of right step facing the gap) (4)
- V step left (4)
- Pivot turn right (end in the gap) (4)
- Knee up straddle knee on left step (8)
- Hop up on top and step off in the gap (4)
- Outer thigh on right step (4)
Repeat on left step
- 3 Staggered straddle marches (see explanation below) (12)
- 4 Hops back straddling bench (4)
- 2 Basic right or run-run (8)
- Step up right, straddle down right, step up and off in the gap (8)
Repeat on left step
Staggered Straddle March:
Left foot stays in the gap, right foot alternates stepping up on top of
step and then straddling down. So one staggered straddle march is:
- Right foot step up on 1
- Left foot step in the gap on 2
- Right foot step down on right side of step on 3
- Left foot steps in the gap on 4.
