"Hip" Hop!!

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 3082)

Combo 1

Start with right lead.

Combo 5

Combo 6

Repeat combo with left lead.

The "Hip" hop is exactly that...you're hopping forward, but leading with your hip. Depending on what lead your on, you'll be facing the side walls, but hopping forward towards the front wall.

The Shuffle/Slide step can also be used as two step touches. I start with the two step touches and then work in the shuffle/slide to add more "power" to the workout.

Use any arm movements, I like people to pretend they're lifting a box over their heads when doing squats. On the "Hip" hop, I start arms low and as we're hopping lifting the arms up. Remember, from the waist down, your body is facing the side walls, but from the waist up (shoulders) your body is facing the front wall.

I get a pretty good feedback when I do this combo, hope you and your class like it!!
