The Slam!
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 3110)
Standing on the floor facing the step:
- Kick right (to side) then left (4) (make it a little funky)
- Right foot pivot off the step and pivot back to front (4)
- Now jump (still on floor) like a jack, knees slightly bent to side,
flex your arms up shoulder height in a right angle (1)
- Slap your hands on your knees (1)
- SLAM your hands on the step 3x's fast (2)
- Step right foot on left corner of step and kick left foot (2)
- Step down left, right (2) [16] (to end and go into
your own thing)
- OR
- Step down left, right, left (step ball change) (2)
- Right pivot (on floor, facing left wall) (2)
- 1/2 Pivot to front facing step (2)
- 2 Funky jacks (4)
REPEAT THE SLAM!
I usually show the "spread 'em slap, slam 2, 3" before class
half time, then up tempo. In class I start kick right, left march...
kick left, right, pivots, march then kick, kick, pivot, slam
(that way newcomers can still march until they are really ready
to slam!!!
You need an appropriate song for this...I like it like that,
Macarena mix, It's Party time..Bamboleo
My class starts whining every day "Are we going to slam
today?!!!!"PLEASE!"
I hope you like it...
