This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 3802)
The first two patterns are easy and the last two are a little
more challenging...cut and paste at will 8)
Warm-up Pattern One:
- Basic right and left (16)
- Turnstep (16)
- Alternate single knees up (8)
- Modified repeater or repeater knee (8)
(modified repeater means knee, touch outside leg over the
bench, knee)
- V-step, alternate (8)
- Mambo, alternate (8)
now you'll be on the other lead leg!
Pattern Two:
- One L-step (8)
- Alternate single knees up (8)
- Around the world with knees up. (16)
- (now you'll be on the other lead leg!)
- One L-step (8)
- Alternate single hamstring curls (8)
- Around the world with hamstring curls (16)
Pattern Three:
- Charleston twice on the same lead leg (8)
- Over the top once (4)
- Pop turn (4)
- Quick lunge up, one on each side of the bench (16)
(a quick lunge means get up, lunge for 2 counts, exit on
the other side, get up and lunge for 2 counts and you are
back to your original position)
now you'll be on the other lead leg!
Pattern Four:
(let's say you start this by going towards the left of the room
as your back is to the class...)
- One L-step, back-up (8)
(this means that as you are getting back to the center of
the bench with your L-step, you are actually backing up so
you face the left side of the room)
- Straddle (remember, you are facing the left side of the room),
exit to your left (8)
- Turnstep (right foot up first) (4)
Now you'll be on the other lead leg!
