This pattern is self-reversing. I usually run through the first 32 counts a few times, then add on the next 32, etc. A few explanations:
* Knee slides back:
You're facing the side of the room. This is the same as a single knee,
except as you pull the knee up, take a small hop back on your board
("slide" back on the board). I usually do a pushing motion with
my arms so that the class understands to "slide back."
** Boomerang:
You might know this by a different name. I'll explain it using a left leg
lead. You start with one knee to the right corner, step down right and left,
facing the front (4). Your right foot steps up on the left corner, the left
foot steps up with your toe facing the back of the room (both feet are now
on the board and you're facing the back of the room)(2). Your right foot
steps off the front of the board and your left follows (2). Now you're
ready for three alternating knees, facing the back of the room, on the
front corners of your board (12). After the three knees,
"boomerang" again (4), and finish with two alternating knees (8).
I really enjoy this site! Thanks for all of your good ideas!
