Xtreme Spin

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 2622)

I use this for a 5 minute effort. It can be made longer or shorter depending on the class level.

Simply stated this is a 5 minute climb, every 30 seconds they alternate between a seated climb and a run or standing climb and every minute they increase the resistance.

If the class is really pushing themselves this is a great effort. Gotta keep reminding them they are there for a reason. They gotta push themselves, that the only way the become better.

The goal here is to consistantly increase the resistance. Make sure they don't kill themselves in the beginning because their hardest efforts should be at the very end. They should not be backing off any resistance throughout the entire 5 minutes.
