More hi-lo to go
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 2714)
I've been teaching this pattern for about 12 years, and it's still one of my
favorites. I hope you like it too!! I do break this down in class, but I
won't bore you with details today!!!!!
- Double grapevine right with a 1/2 turn to the back (counts 5,6,7,8)
- Step touch x 2 (right, left, right, left) -
arms punch to the right-up, center, down and clap (16 counts)
- Double grapevine right with a 1/2 turn to the front - step touch x 2
right, left - arms punch up, center, down and clap twice again (16
counts)
ADD ON:
Scoop up x 4, then one of these two options moving back:
- OPTION 1: Walk back for 8 counts (This is the boring option!!)...or...
- OPTION 2:
- Walk back right, left, right and do a power hop with both feet
and then walk back 3 more right, left, right and power hop with both
feet again (16 counts)
- Then kind of turning to the front right corner, bring your
left knee up x 2
- Then step touch x 1 left, right
- Then kind of turning to the front left corner, bring your right
knee x 2
- Then step touch x 1 right, left (16 counts)
ADD ON...
- Angle grapevine to front right corner
- Angle grapevine to front left corner
- Step touch back x 4 (16 counts)
- Then out out in x 2 (I add power to this move by going out out hop in)
- Step touch x 2 with 2 half turns (I call this move a slide...it's
a step touch right, left with a half turn to the back and then step
touch right, left with a half turn to face front again. (16 counts)
Total counts is 3 sets of 32
No matter where I've taught this pattern, everyone has always
really liked it. Let me know what you think...
