Diane's Monday Double-step Class At Del Norte
This is a
Double Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 2155)
Directional approach is horzontal.
When done leading right, lead left to get you back to home bench.
Open = Your working your benches side to side.

1.
- 1 Basic (4 counts)
- 1 Corner to corner knee up (4 counts)
- March on top facing horizontally (4 counts)
- Step off with your left foot and double knee lift your
right leg and peg leg 2x (8 counts total)
- 3 Alternating open arabesques (12 counts)
2.
- 2 Charlie on one leg (8 counts)
- 1 Turn and CB = (4 counts)
- 1 V-step (4 counts)
- 1 W-step corner to corner [same thing as doing a traveling L-step in
reebok terms] (8 counts)
- 1 Shooter (8 counts)
3.
- 1 Flamingo (8 counts)
- 1 Repeater2 horseshoe (8 counts)
- 1 Reverse hook to a mambo back and walk walk (8 counts)
- 2 Alternating open hamstring curls and CB (8 counts)
4.
- 1 Open repeater 2 march and CB (8 counts)
- 1 Backfire (8 counts)
- 1 Knee straddle (4 counts)
- 1 Corner to corner knee up (4 counts)
- 1 Grunt move [up up 1/2 a tempo, get off and march on the
floor] (8 counts)
5.
- 1 Over the top (4 counts)
- Walk around your step (4 counts)
- Spinning mambo [1 mambo, triple run to face the opposite wall,
1 mambo, triple run to face the opposite wall] (8 counts)
- 1 Quick tap (8 counts)
- 1 Over the top and CB (4 counts)
- 1 Corner to corner knee up (4 counts)
6.
- 1 Open W-step and CB [Knee up off the end, knee back up to CB]
(8 counts)
- 1 Tap up tap down (4 counts)
- Walk around your step (4 counts)
- 1 Knee straddle (4 counts)
- 3 Alternating Open Inner thigh and CB (12 counts)
7.
- 1 Rock into a reverse hook [On one leg, step ham, step knee and
reverse hook] (8 counts total)
- 1 Over the top and CB (4 counts)
- March on top [facing horizontally] (4 counts)
- 3 Alternating back lunges and get off (8 counts)
- 2 Alternating corner to corner hamstring curls (8 counts)
8.
- Peg leg 2x (4 counts)
- 1 Knee up on that same leg and then switch corners (4 counts)
- 1 L-step off the end (4 counts)
- Squat out with your ouside leg [right leg because your leading
right] (4 counts)
- 1 Grapevine right (4 counts)
- Walk to your neighbors bench diagonally on the floor and CB
(4 counts)
- 2 Alternating Over the top (8 counts) [Reverse the pattern when
leading left]
This pattern can last you anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour of cardio,
depending on the skill level of your participants so please modify to fit
your class.
