New Abdominals!
This is an
Abs pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 2212)
Start sitting up tall, knees bent at right angles, feet flat on floor.
Holding the arms out in front, look straight ahead, tighten the lower
abdominals and:
- Roll down slowly (8 counts)
Go all the way down, head on the floor and then, head up first
- Roll up slowly (8 counts)
- Repeat
- Take the hands by the sides of the head/support the head and:
- Roll down slowly (8 counts)
- Roll up slowly (8 counts)
- Roll down slowly just as far as the middle back (8 counts)
the shoulders are off the ground and
- PULSE (16 counts)
- Still supporting the head go:
- Single curls center x 4
- Single curl up x 1, FREEZE x 2, down on 4
- Repeat curl, freeze and down (4 counts) x 4
- Single curl up x 1, PULSE x 2 (with arms reach forward)
down on 4 (support the head again)
- Repeat x 4
- Single curl up x 1, oblique curl PULSE x 2 (with one arm reach across)
down on 4 (support the head)
- Repeat oblique curl pulse other side
- Repeat x 4
- Back to single curls centre x 4
- Curl up for 3 counts, reach arms forwards on 3rd count
(get a little HIGHER on that third count) down on 4
- Repeat x 4
- Back to single curls centre x 4
- Bring knee to chest + curl up centre; extend leg + curl down x 4
- Bring knee to chest + oblique curl; extend leg + curl down x 4
- Repeat other leg x 4 each
- Back to single curls centre x 4
- Supporting the head with one hand go
- Reach with one hand centre and PULSE (8 counts)
- Change hands PULSE (8 counts)
- Reach with both hands PULSE (8 counts)
- Support the head and PULSE (8 counts - tough)
- Back to single curls centre x 4

I hope you'll find that this is a tough one! But if they need to, the class can rest on the single curls to the centre and join in again when they want
