Just Havin' Fun
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 2578)
The following is a self-reversing pattern, first start with the right
lead and when finished you will be able to start on the left lead.
Combo 1:
- Step tap, right and left (see explanation) (8)
- Stutter basic (see explanation) (8)
- L-step lunge (see explanation) (8)
- L-step (8)
[you can start this combo with left lead now before moving on to next combo]
Combo 2:
- Travel knees, right side first (stepping left) (8)
- Double knee repeater, step down, back up on bench (8)
- Alternating lunges 3x, exiting on right side (8)
- Up/over bench, walk around bench to other side-
(to repeat combo going opposite side first)
(or you can pivot the bench in stead of walk around) (8)
Combo 3:
- Corner to corner kicks (8)
- Flip Kick or repeater kick (8)
- Up/Over (8)
- Knee pivot straddle (8) --see explanation
[this combo will self reverse for left lead]
Combo 4:
- Turnstep (1/2), walk forward for 4 counts (8)
- Walk back for 4 counts, up and over bench (8)
- Alternate Knee up straddle the bench 3x (while moving up the bench)
exiting on the 12th beat (12)
- Pivot or walk around (4)
[this combo will not self reverse but fits nicely to the end of the
routine when you combine all 4 combos with the right lead first and
then the left lead]
Explanations:
Step tap is the same as a alternating basic except you tap on the
bench instead of the floor.
Stutter basic is stutter step 2x and on the 5th beat step all
the way through to other lead.
Lstep lunge, is up up lunge back and then to the side --you on the
side of the bench
Knee pivot straddle: Facing one direction, i.e. left, Knee up while
pivoting around to face opposite direction, straddle the bench; then
knee up and exit the same side of the bench you started but you'll be
facing opposite direction, i.e. right.
