Vita's Vibe on Fitness #12 (WOWW-Workout with Weights)

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 3510)

A versatile instructor is always going to include resistance training in their workout if not dedicating a class towards shaping muscles. I love this type of class. Participants think that body sculpting is not as tough a workout as an aerobic workout, because of the sweat. Push them hard, keep them away from the light weights. I begin with 8 pounds not to exceed 20 pounds. We have 3 different sizes. Guaranteed after 2-4 weeks of regular toning, sculpting (whatever you prefer, they should see a difference). I always focus on legs, switching lower body to upper body. Music is 128-130 bpm.

I like to work a particular area on my sculpting days. I'll always work the lower abs first. I'll use a bench at an incline, head towards the floor and lift feet (heels) towards the ceiling. Some will just use the floor. Then I will take the bench 8 inches and do Vups, 4 sets of 20 and then we would cool down and stretch all those areas we just worked so hard. I like this type of class - very hard to push on those frantic stepperholics though.
