Keshia's 64 Vertical Double
This is a
Double Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 3417)
Combo 1
- Double A-step (8) (A-step on both benches)
- Step up left right lunge left then right then exit (8)
(called a shooter)
- Repeat shooter on home bench (8)
- Double over the top (8) (go over both benches)
- Side lift straddle side lift exit swith to home and
repeat (16) (when you exit face the back of the room)
- Side lift straddle back to where you started (16) (you
should end up on the right side of the away bench)
Repeat entire 64 count with left lead starting on the away bench
Combo 2
- 5 Knee repeater on home (10)
- Straddle down and up and over the top (6) (you end up
back where you started)
- Turn straddle turn lunge 4x (16) Immediately start the
lunges on count 7 you will end up at the center of both
benches.
- Hop turn on away bench (4)
- A-step (4)
- Turnstep (4)
- Hop turn on home (4)
- A-step on home (4)
- Turnstep (4) now facing front
- Diagonal on away (4)
- Two jumping jacks on the floor moving back (4)
Repeat entire combo with left lead on away bench
Combo 3
- Kick (run run run or cha cha cha) done in the
straddle position (4)
- Kick straddle down (4)
- Squat (still in straddle position) (2)
- Squat on top of the step (2)
- Exit the step (2) you end up int the center between both benches
- Hop turn on the away bench (4)
- Reverse turn straddle (4) end up facing front of the room
- Knee straddle knee exit (8) end up on the right
side of the away bench
- Double hop turn (8) (hop turn on both benches)
- Turn straddle turn (8)
- Hop turn straddle knee exit (8) end up top of away
between the benches
- Small U-step (4) end up facing front of the room
- Backward diagonal (4)
Combo 4
- 3 Alternating inner thighs on home (12)
- Knee lift off the right short end of home (4)
now facing right wall
- Step touch to the away bench (4)
- Across the away bench 2xs (8)
- Power turning knee on away (4) now facing left wall
- Step touch to home (4)
- Across the top 2xs on home (8)
- Power turning knee on home (4) now facing right wall
- Step touch to away (4)
- Knee to center of the away bench (4) Still facing right wall
- Turn straddle turn (8)
Repeat combo with left lead on away
These combos are best performed with advanced classes. Combos 1-3
can be broken down to two (32) count combos. I'm glad to see more
double steppers contributing. Thanks for the ideas. By the way I
need a new warmup. Anybody have any ideas? Feel free to email
