Energizer Bunny's Going Vertical

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 4672)

Bench is vertical, begin routine to left, right leg leading. All combos are 32 count and self-reversing. This takes one of Terri Kennedy's routines and adds a few of my own changes to it. Thanks Terri! Explanations for moves are at end of routine.

Combo 5:

**Around the world--At top corner, knee straddle down (1-4), knee exit right (5-6), take two steps to back corner facing back of room (7-8), repeat that again to face the front. I cue it at first "knee straddle knee exit, face the back, walk walk; knee straddle knee exit, face the front, walk walk".

**Bow & arrow squat--Squat on the floor, but turn your back to the bench, left leg facing front. Arms: as you squat, pull right arm back like you have an arrow to pull back at chest height, and left arm extends straight to front of room at same time.

**Rocking horse--Ham curl on bench (1,2), lean back and place heel on bench (3,4), hop 2x on right leg (5,6), swinging left leg back behind you to step down on the floor with it left, right (7,8). Repeat leading with the left leg, but instead of swinging it over to the other side, swing your right leg off the end of the bench to land, right, left. Now you are ready for 2 basic rights or a T-Step.

**Mambo "L"--Do one mambo, right leg leading, (1,2) then as you step back, do a cha-cha-cha to switch legs (3 & 4), then do mambo with left leg leading (5,6), cha-cha-cha (7 & 8). I do this first to get them used to the switching of legs. Then as they keep doing that, I change directions on the 2nd Mambo to face the right wall, with the end of the bench on my left side, and then come back to face front after the cha-cha-cha. So you basically make an "L" on the floor at the end of your bench.

I am in the process of hiring two instructors for my club, and I will highly recommend they check out this website for ideas--it's the best!! If you have any questions or comments, please let me know!!
