'Fun to Stay Fit' C.K.B. 2 WARM UP

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 5271)

ROUGH DRAFT 2. (SO FAR)

The general warm up is not ever just stretching, although it is a very important part of the warm up. Raising of the core body temperature (especially to major muscle groups) by at least 2 degrees Celsius or 1.4-2.8 degrees Fahrenheit is though.

It is accomplished in 3 important steps: (in this order)

  1. General warm up. (This is divided into Joint Rotation for synovial fluid to the joints and then Aerobic activity to increase body core temperature)
  2. Sport specific warm up (ours is an aerobic warm up which means no punch or kicks; the muscles aren't ready for either anyway. That is why we do a warm up.)
  3. Stretching. (This is divided into static and dynamic types and in that order)

1. Let's begin with Joint Rotations: (No music, a perfect way to get to know your class ie. Name etc.) - Approximately 3 minutes VERY SLOW each movement done a few times only).

2. Let the music begin and Start Aerobic Portion: - approximately 5 minutes = 20-23 (32 counts)

After the BOB & WEAVE reach outs with arms, proceed to:

3. Stretching: Static then Dynamic Stretching in that order. 1-2 minutes.

Now you are ready to move on to the Technical Portion of the Warm up which takes approximately 10 minutes; Teaching correct Punching and Kicking Techniques (purely instructional but with music) see Boxercise Program 1, Goodboxerseyes Technical Punch 2, GB:')s Kicking for Beginners, and GB:')s Technical Boxercise Warm Up 3 in the Turnstep Submissions under my name.
