Dancin' with Ms. D
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 4147)
- (1-6) Step touch 3 - right/left/right
- (7-8) Jack
- (9-14) Knee repeter (step on your left, knees in right)
Your right knee will be up on count 14
- (15) Step across your left leg with your right
- (16) Lift left knee (hop)
- (17-20) Grapevine left
- (21- 24) Grapevine right
- (25-27) 3 Quick heels front left/right/left
- (28) Left knee lifts I call 25-28 "3 heels and a
knee", the lead leg on the "heels" is the
"knee" leg as well
- (29-32) Pivot turn (or mambo) left lead
Repeat on left lead
- (1-2) Shuffle (chachacha) right
- (3-4) Kick ball change left
- (5) Tap left foot out left
- (6) Cross left foot over right
- (7) Turn your body to face back off room (it's quick,
be careful on carpet - it's kind of a Michael Jackson
"Billy Jean" thing)
- (8) Hop (still facing back) I call 5-8 "tap cross turn
and hop". You might want to show them this 1/2 time
before class - it's a bitch to break down - any ideas?
- (9-12) Alternate ham curls 2 - (step left, curl right)
VERY IMPORTANT!
- (13-16) Double curl left, turning 180 degrees to face
front (you are turning over your left shoulder) I call
13-16 "double curl to the front"
- (17-22) 3 Alternating kicks to front right/left/right
- (23-24) Left leg kicks out to side
- (25-30) 3 Alternating kicks back left/right/left
- (31-32) Right leg kicks side
You have to "hop" out of your last kick, change feet to begin
this combination on the left...don't worry it flows!
You guys, if you have any questions about break downs, or you kind
of confused, PLEASE E-Mail me! There are so few hi/lo instructors
out there that are teaching a stylized class - if your one of them,
I'd love to chat, swap moves etc. Also, if a nyone actually uses
this, let me know. I want to know if this has sparked an idea
in someone!
