Witches' Dance
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 4152)
After all these months of stealing your patterns, I've finally
decided to add my own one. It is a Low one, but I add a lot of
arm-work to make it quite intense. So, here it goes...
Warm Up:
- Step touch 4x (right, left, right, left) (8)
- Step&curl 2x forward (4)
- Step&curl 2x backward (4)
- Walk front 4 & back 4 (8)
- Side kicks 4x (8)
Combo One:
- Grapevine right (on forth count turn 180 degrees to
face back wall) (4)
- Step touch 4x facing back (left, right, left, right) (8)
- Slow squat left lead 2x (each with 90 degrees to face
front again) (8)
- Step&curl 4x forward (8)
- Twist 4x backward (4)
Repeat it with left lead!
Combo Two:
- Grapevine right, turn 90 degrees, grapevine left (you
are facing right wall now) (8)
- Calf raises 4x facing right (right, left, right, left) (8)
- Walk back 3 & lift left knee up (while lifting left knee
turn 90 degrees to face front again) (4)
- Side lunges 4x (left, right, left, right) (8)
- Walk back 3 & lift left knee up (4)
Now you are in the starting position, and you can do Combo two
starting with left lead BUT DO IT BACKWARDS!!! That means that you
start with:
- Walk forward 3 & lift right knee up (while lifting knee,
turn 90 degrees)
- Side lunges 4x facing right wall (right, left, right, left)
- Walk forward 3 & lift right knee up (still facing right)
- Calf raises 4x (right, left, right, left)
- Grapevine right, turn 90 degrees, grapevine left
Here you are on the starting position again.
I hope I didn't make it complicated.
If your group doesn't like turning, you can do whole routine
without it. Or you can teach them first without turning,
and then try to add some more fun with complete turning.
My group loved it so much that we had to repeat it 10 times.
You would make me very, very happy if you send me any kind
of feedback. Thanks & enjoy yourself.
