Terri and Kerry's Texas Style Step

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 4022)

This routine is a compilation of 2 workshops. (Gay Gasper, Jill Suhr-Casey). I changed them around so they are not exact replications. Also, combo 3 is part mine, and an addition that was made by Terri, a new friend. She found one of my combos on this site and added some to it. So, I thank her for her enthusiasm.

Combo 1:

Lead with left leg (after lead left leg, march around to face side for Combo 2)

Combo 2:

(Facing left wall) Side approach to bench, right foot leading. Lead left leg (side approach)

(After "U-turn" be ready to face front for next combo)

Combo 3:

(Terri and Kerry's Texas Style Step) Now ready to repeat facing back wall, leading left foot.

There are 3 combos but 8 sets of 32 counts, so it should work well with music on phrasing. If not, you can add one of your own combos to complete it.

Combo 1: Option knee. Step knee lift(1,2). "Knee leg" steps on floor (3), and other foot taps to other side of step (4). Step on board with the "tap" foot (5). Lift knee (6). Step down where you began (7,8).

I have had a lot of fun teaching this combo, and the members really enjoyed it as well. Let me know how it works for you and your participants. If you have any questions on the combos just give me an email. I'll be glad to help...Enjoy!!! Kerry:)

Thanks for this website Greg!!! It really helps keep our classes on the go and exciting!!!
