Advanced Ab Burner

This is a Body Sculpting pattern from (pattern 5165)

Position: Have students lie on the floor as if they were preparing to do a set of push-ups. Their feet should be at full extension. Place elbows under shoulders and clasp hands (arms will appear in an inverted "V" position). Movement: Students will now push their pelvis toward the floor in a slow, deliberate movement and then lift it slightly toward the ceiling.

Tips: This is advanced ab work and should not be introduced to beginners. When introducing this to your class, be sure to tell your students to keep their lower back under control by contracting the abdominals. Also tell them to keep their back straight to keep their spine in alignment. Remind your students to breathe through the exercise, as they often forget to do so!
