Steppin' up the weights (step/weight intervals)

This is a [Other] pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 4863)

I started this routine about 3 months ago when I became seriously bored with what I was doing. I got wonderful comments about it. Hope you like it. You could do any step patterns and/or weight intervals in place of these.

Step Interval 1 -

I do a basic step routine such as Keepin' it BASIC that I submitted to the step patterns section. (Aerobic intervals go about 5 minutes)

Weight Interval 1 -

Step Interval 2 -

I do a V-step combination such as Travelin V-step which I submitted under the step patterns.

Weight Interval 2 -

Do steps (A) and (B) for a total of 6 sets.

Step Interval 3 -

I usually do a knee lift pattern. There are several to choose from under the step section.

Weight Interval 3 -

This is really an intense work out if done correctly. It takes about 30-35 minutes to complete, so combined with a warm-up, stretch, cool-down, and floor work it uses up the entire hour class. It's a lot of fun and can be changed so easily. I never end up with the same routine twice which keeps it exciting. Intervals could also be used with hi/lo instead of step aerobics. Let me know if you have any ideas to share. I get bored easily and am always looking for ways to "spice" up my classes. Thanks!!
