Kim W's Jun 99 Quad Step
This is a
Quad Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 4927)
Steps are placed in a horizontal position, two side by side with
2-step riser width between and two other side by side directly
behind. Front and back row should be approximately 2-step risers
apart from each other. Remember to leave the back row and one
step in each row on the right end empty. Students can share each
others step. For the purposes of this routine, first step on the
left is #1, step to the right of #1 is #2, step directly behind
#1 is #3 and step behind #2 is #4. Start is at #1 with a left
lead. Unfamiliar terms are at end--enjoy!

You are now ready to begin from Block #1 with a right lead
on the #2 step and reverse the entire routine
(Block #1-#7). Email for questions!
Knees around the world--after basic left on #2, turn slightly,
lift right knee and switch to #1 step behind you, lift left
knee and switch to #3 step to your left, lift right knee and
switch to #4 step behind you and go over the top to your
right on #4 step.
Hamstring volley--hamstring curl on #4, switch to #2, hamstring
curl, switch to #4, hamstring curl, switch to #2 (ready to do
lunges).
Jump shot--just a tap up/down with a hop up on the tap up.
Zig-zag--corner to corner on #2, tap down (between ends
of #2 and #1 on front side of steps), then do another corner
to corner with left lead on #1 step. Instead of tapping down
after finishing on #1 step, run X 3 on floor.
3-Knees on top--step up right towards left wall, lift left
knee, step left foot down on top of step turning to right wall,
lift right knee, step right foot down on top of step turning to
left wall, lift left knee and exit step to left and switch
to #3 step.
Inside loop--turnstep on #3, switch to #1, turnstep on #1,
switch back to #3.
Take a hike--step forward as if going around end of #2 with right
foot, step forward again with left foot moving around end,
shuffle on floor (this will change you to a left lead), then march
left-right-left-right to #3 step.
Skip repeater--step on step as if going corner to corner with
left foot, lift right knee, keep moving to corner, put right
foot down on top of step, lift left knee, step left foot back
(moving behind you) on top of step, lift right knee and exit
back to side where you started (add a skip to the lifts).
Double turnstep--turnstep on #3, switch to #4, turnstep again
with the same lead and then switch to #2 step.
