5 Straight Punches
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 4365)
In orthodox stance, guards up, shifting weight on balls of feet
forward & backward ("left leg pendulum")
Leading left arm:
- Jab left, right, left, right, left bob down (squat)
with guards up.
- Repeat 4 times (32 counts)
Jumping jacks interval:
- Single jacks. Repeat 8 times (16 counts)
- 2 Single jacks one squat. Repeat 6 times (48 counts)
- Pulse jacks (legs wide pulsing legs down for 6 counts
then jump bringing legs together one time for 2 counts)
- Repeat 4 times (32 counts)
Changing to southpaw stance:
- Two foot hop skipping (8 counts)
- Hop on right foot then left (8 counts)
- Right leg pendulum (Southpaw box stance) (8 counts)
- Guards up (8 counts)
Repeat sequence southpaw stance, leading right arm.
Repeat jumping jacks interval.
For progression, I increase the punching combination to eight
times each side and get participants to yell out the
combination, eg. "1-2-3-4-5 bob down".
