Kathy Z's Hard Core-ography 12

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 4810)

After a long turnstep hiatus, I'm back with some fun stuff! I have to give credit to my aerobic pals for some of these moves...Gail, Janis, Debbie, Vivian, Turbo. My inspirational angels!

Horizontal step, of course!

Pattern One

Repeat pattern beginning left lead.


Basic-out-out with 3 lunges:


Pattern Two

Repeat pattern beginning left lead and add to pattern one


Pony around the world:
(Beginners can do two tap-up tap-downs)

Pattern Three

Repeat pattern three beginning left lead, and add to other patterns


(thanks Janis Pipon!) beginners can do two alternating side kicks, staying on the home side.

This is cool if you swing your arms, both to the same side as the leg that kicks out. You face front all the way through this, and move laterally. It's fun!

Knee jazz shuffle:
(two in a row in this pattern, alternate leads)

Pattern Four

Repeat pattern beginning left lead, and add to other patterns


Pumpin' L with a lunge:

Now you're ready for the grapevine shuffle (do this BIG! Really MOVE!!!)

You really have to coach your students to move big on all those shuffles! Those with bad knees should watch out on the reverse turn...Have them do a repeater in place of the knee lift followed by that reverse turn.
