Disco Fever

This is a Cycling pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 5834)

There's just nothing like spinning is there?!!

I tried another theme on my class last week...I bought a 70's Disco cd with lots of great music...YMCA, THE HUSTLE, DISCO INFERNO...ETC.

I brought a string of my Christmas lights from home with racing bulbs. I placed them in a circle in the middle of the room to represent the dance floor. (we have our bikes in a horse shoe shape). I had flashing lights on the fans and 2 red lights at the front of the room by the instructor bike. The beat of disco music is great, I had the music in time with the flashing lights (the string I had is controled by a knob which makes the flashing slow med or fast) As we did YMCA we did the hand movements and sang the chorus...for the hustle we jumped forward and back during the chorus. Some of the disco stuff is quite fast (Boogie woogie woogie woogie dancing Shoes) so we had a few sprint sets in there. It was fun and everyone got a good workout...I have now been dubbed the Martha Stewart of the Spinning Room. I don't mind that title at all.

Happy Spinning :)
