A Plyometric Class

GOAL: To increase cardiovascular fitness, power, agility & functional strength


Plyometrics are not for beginners! Your students should have a solid base of both cardiovascular fitness and strength before they participate.

Form is important, always. The main thing to think about when doing plyometrics is to spend as little time as possible on the ground. At the same time, you must be certain your whole foot touches the ground before you begin your next jump. That allows your body to absorb the impact safely. Take five minutes at the beginning of class to explain the importance or form, and to demonstrate each drill.
