Skip Trip
This is an
Aquatic pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 5906)
After warming up I tell my class the we will be taking a
ski trip.
- I first tell my class that we need to ride the lift up
the mountain. With this they pretend to sit down and
they kick their lower legs as if they were swinging
them off the lift.
- Next say that it's time to get off the lift which means
they need to take a giant leap in the air
- Cross-country over to their first hill
- I then inform them that the first hill is a triple
diamond with tons of moggles. The movement is a
side-to-side ski (don't forget to use your arms)
- Once at the bottom of the hill they again ride the
lift, dismount, and cross-country over to their second
hill
- Inform the class that the second hill has no moggles
but is straight down hill with areas of rock sticking
up. They have to take big jumps (over the rocks) all
the way down.
- Ride the lift, dismount, and cross-country
- I tell them that on the final hill they are in a
jumping competition. Ski side-to-side and then on cue
they should make their craziest jump in the air.
- Once at the bottom of the hill, tell them it's time to
take off their skis and lay back and make some snow angles.
It's a little goofy, but my class always leaves laughing!
