Bag 'em Danno

This is a BoxAerobics pattern from (pattern 5535)

Our club just got 6 bags after having a boxing type class for over 3 years.

My students are so psyched. I thought I'd share some ideas on drills that have worked with the bags. I feel very lucky to have them as they add a new dimension to my classes.

Bag combos:

* Fly punch: if you are doing a right roundhouse, the fly punch is a jab with the right hand (which previously swung down for the kick) as your right leg swings back to a chamber position (still in the air)

Bag drills

** Athletic step drills: using 8 inch step - anaerobic moves - heel switches, lunge switches, lunges on top, fast straddles, fast up and overs with knees up, etc (30-90 seconds)

If anyone has other ways they use their bags I'd love to hear them. We haven't had ours long so I promise an update if I or our other instructors come up with more ideas.
