Fun with Seniors

One of my favorite classes I teach each week are my classes for people age 55 and older. We have a good time, although I sometimes have trouble coming up with creative choreography that is safe for them and also fun. I would appreciate some ideas from any instructors who teach this unique and enjoyable group. These members are my most faithful aerobic "nuts". I use a lot of repetition and one must remember that maintaining balance is sometimes hard for this group. Here are a few steps that we do. (I use music from the '50's and '60's)

My class members ask about the kickboxing and Tae Bo, so occassionally I add some punches and really low impact moves and low kicks so they can enjoy some of these movements. We always have a good time. I try to stress safety and fun!!!! Other instructors of this special population, please send ideas!! Thanks for this site.
