This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 5567)
This step is done with the step vertical; start with the right
leg, and on the left side of the step. All combos are made
to be done together, but can be done separately also.
- Come up onto the step and straddle (4)
- Hop back up onto the step with both feet (2)
- Tapping down, step off step to right side (2)
- Step up onto step with left foot and kick, then come
back down (4)
- Ski** (see below) (4)
- L-step off the front of step and come back to right
side of step (8)
Do this combo starting with the left foot now (going on
top of step for the straddle).
From left side of step:
- Step onto back of step with right foot (both feet are
on step) (2)
- Immediately lunge back off of step 1st with right foot,
and then with left. (You should be back on top of
step now) (4)
- Step completely off of step starting with the right
leg (2)
Repeat this step with right foot again.
- From back of step, step all the way onto step (2)
- Straddle step by "hopping out" with legs and hold for
2 counts (2)
- Hop back onto step with both legs and hold for 2
counts (2)
- Tap down off step to the right side (2)
- Knee-up** twice. (8)
Do this combo on left leg now, coming onto step and immediately
straddling by "hopping down".
- Do 4 turnsteps off the left side of the step (turn to
the right). (16)
- Studder step** (see below) with right leg (facing
forward again), and on 3rd count, go over the step to
other side. (8)
- Studder step** with left leg and go back over to the
left side of step (8)
- Immediately go into a knee up*** on left side of step
and tap back down again (4)
- Leg-up** and tap down. (4)
- Hamstring up** and tap down. (4)
- Go over top of step to other side. (4)
- Knee-up** on right side of step and tap down. (4)
- Leg-up** and tap down. (4)
- Hamstring-up** and tap down. (4)
- Go over top of step to other side. (4)

Ski:**
Thanks to another turnstep submitter (can't remember
who...sorry!), I was taught this "Ski" step:
- Hopping on floor while bringing one straight leg in
front of you and the other straight leg in back to
you (still on floor). With each hop, you are
alternating legs. This is done in up tempo. (4
counts)
- With the arms and legs straight, it should appear like
you are "skiing".
Knee up:**
- Step onto step with left foot (from right side of step)
and pull right knee up to your chest, then tap back
down. Repeat once. (Can be done on the left side of
step too, starting with right foot.) (8)
Leg up:**
- Step onto step with right foot (from left side of step)
and kick left leg out to the side of body, then tap back
down to floor. (4)
Hamstring up:**
- Step onto step with right foot (from left side of step)
and pull left heel up to buttocks in a hamstring curl,
then tap back down to floor. (4)
