Intermediate/Advanced Step
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 5592)
Pattern for intermediate step (or advanced if you speed it up!)
Horizontal step
Block One:
- March out out in in (on the floor)-- 4 counts
- Step up kick (1x) down down (changes to left lead)
-- 4 counts
- Step up up jack jack (2x) down down -- 8 counts
- Reverse V-step (left lead), basic left or full reverse
(on the front), reverse V-step, left knee travel --
16 counts
- Right A-step, cross the top or grapevine left on floor,
ham over 2x (cross the top twice using hamstring
pull) -- 16
- Knee off the end, knee return (like an L-step), 2
single knee lifts or knee-jack-knee combo (step right,
left knee, touch floor with left foot, jack on top,
but don't close jack, touch floor with right foot,
right knee, down, down) -- 16
Repeat on left or move on...
Block Two:
- Kick travel, mambo shuffle (on floor), walk 1/2 round
to front, cross top (option to spin around 2x on the
walk) -- 16 counts
- Knee straddle 2x, 4 hamstring curls (from a straddle
position, on the floor) -- 16 counts
- Swing front foot over to back side of step and do a
box step, knee straddle again (1x), step out from end
of step and do another box step, basic left -- 16 counts
- Two 3-count turns (with hop on floor), 2 knee travels
-- 16
By incorporating straddles, full reverses, and knee hop
pivots, this routine can be used for more advanced
participants.
Have fun and make it yours!
