Kim W's Oct 99 Double Step

This is a Double Step pattern from (pattern 5623)

Steps are vertical side-by-side with 2 step riser widths in-between steps. This entire routine is TAP FREE and for advanced students only. See end for explanations of unfamiliar terms and enjoy! For the purpose of this submission step on left is #1, step on right is #2. Start is behind #1 (short end) facing front of room.

You are now ready to begin block #1 with a right lead on #2 step. It will take you an entire class to teach and breakdown this routine, but, once you have they will love it!

Outside loop: Cross top (longways), switch steps, cross top of next step and return to where you started (big circle) - or you can do 2 cross tops on same step (but there will be a tap down).

C-straddle: Turnstep and straddle down, reverse turnstep and straddle down back the other way, i.e. turnstep left (1,2), straddle left and right foot down (3,4), left foot to top of step again as you are turning to facing back of room (5), right foot to step as you are turning (like a reverse turnstep) (6), straddle left foot down (7), straddle right foot down (8). You are now straddling the step facing the back of the room ready to do the up to top and lunge left and right.

Knee volley: Knee lift, switch steps, knee lift switch back (done in between both steps).
