GB:')s Ho ho ho ho --> HA
This is a
BoxAerobics pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 5470)
GB:')s Ho ho ho ho-->HA (23rd submission)
I was listening to "Kung Fu Fighting" and "Do
you think I'm sexy" songs off of the Power Music
CD "The 70's 3 workout" and these combinations
came to my mind for use.
Remember: before starting any ot these Kick Box combinations
make sure there is progression to the actual combination
so as to properly warm up the hip area for the kicks I
have heard about many injuries to the hip area because
of side kicks.
Examples of warm progression for hip: alternate knee raises,
side knee raises, diagonal to the chest knee raises, small
half time combos with kicks then combo such as the ones
below.
Now everybody was "Kung Fu Fighting- Ho,
ho, ho, ho---> HA"
Combo 1 Any stance
- 2 Knee raises on right side (4),
- Left front kick (2)
- Right half time punch (cross jab) (2) (8)
Repeat x 4 (32) then change sides and repeat combo 1
(32) (64)
Combo 2 Front facing stance
- 2 Half time alternate jabs (4)
- Left front kick (2)
- Right side kick (2) (8)
Repeat x 4 (32)
Change sides and repeat (32).
Combo 3 Horsestance
(similar to Front Stance: but more squat)
- 2 Alternate right-left martial arts punches, half
time (4) (from the hip, starting with with wrist up
at the hip, to wrist down at extension)
- Right knee smash (2)
- Right front kick (2) (8)
Repeat x 4 (32) change sides repeat combo 3 (32)
Combo 4 Front facing stance
- 2 Right-left diagonal punches at half time (4)
- Right side kick x 2 (double repeater kick) (4) (8)
Repeat x 4 (32) change side repeat combo 4.
"Do ya think I'm sexy, c'mon sugar let me know"
Combo 1 Start orthodox or front facing stance
- 2 Diagonal steps left with jabs forward and back (8)
- (either) half time 4 combo punch eg. left jab, right
cross jab, l hook, right uppercut or at tempo done
twice. (8) (16) depends upon whether they are
familiar with the boxing combo. (you will be in an
orthodox stance for punches)
Repeat combo 1 again, this time going diagonally to the
right and starting punch combo in Southpaw stance. (16) (32)
Combo 2 front facing stance
- Lateral double step to the right with jabs (4)
- Step forward left foot and left front lead hook and
right uppercut (from power side) and hold, bringing
foot back prepared (4) (8)-
Repeat combo 2 now this time going laterally to the left
(8) right (8) then left again (8) (32)
Repeat as often as needed.
Combo 3 front facing or orthodox stance
- Advance forward with jabs twice starting with left
foot (4)
- Left front kick (2) (make sure left foot drops in
front and becomes the lead foot)
- Right cross jab at half time (2) (8)
Repeat retreating back Combo 3 (8) (16)
Here you can change to Southpaw of repeat again in
Orthodox for another (16) (32). (but you must change sides)
I hope you will enjoy this choreography because it was a
lot of fun doing to the music mentioned.
Till next time Goodboxerseyes and Have Fun staying Fit.
