Charleston Cha-cha

This is a Step pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 5495)

Total 32

Total 32

Total 16

The whole pattern is 160 counts or 5 x 32 blocks.

Step in horizontal.

This pattern will change direction after the first set of V-steps. If you start with a right lead, the first V-steps will be a left lead and the next charlestons will be left leads. Start teaching with the charleston/lunge back. Change the lunge to a cha-cha. Then, finally, make the cha-cha on either side of the board, I call it a "split cha-cha". Everyone sticks to the option they like best. Start teaching the V-steps as basics. And on the 4-knee repeater (a pattern I found on this site), I just tell them "trust me on the next move" and invariably they do!
