Get Energized to Step!!
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 5499)
Hi there!! Majority of this routine is original except
for two moves that I got from workshops. I hope you enjoy!!
Combo 1:
- V-step right 2x (1-8)
- Turnstep right foot (1-4)
- 2 Jacks (or 1 squat) (5-8)
- Over the top (1-4)
- 2 Jacks (or 1 squat) (5-8)
- March around (or hop turn)(1-4)
- Kick in left corner (5-8)
Walk front to lead left foot.
Combo 2:
- Basic right 1x (1-4)
- V-step right (5-8) (can do V on floor for variation)
- Knee lift 2x (1-8) (left corner then right)
- Up, up straddle, up up exit to right (1-8)
**leading right foot, facing side of board
- Tap up (or jump shot)(1-4)
- March around (or hop turn) (5-8)
**when march around face side of board, now lead left
- Repeater knee (or ski)(1-8) **Gay Gasper move
- Over the top & U turn (1-8)
- Mambo on board (1-4)
- March around (5-8)
- V-step left, & squat (1-8) (or 2 jacks)
Ready to lead left to beginning of combo 2
Combo 3:
**At the end of combo 2 prepare to hamstring to left
corner. Doesn't necessarily have to be in the corner, but
facing side.
- Hamstring & over the top (1-8)
- Hamstring & back over (1-8)
- 2 Knee repeater, step down, walk up right, left on
board. (1-8)
- Lunge 3x (right, left, right), lift right knee after
that lunge & exit right. (1-8)
***These two 8 counts are a move from Gin Miller.
Now lead left leg with hamstring.
Combo 4:
**Still facing side.
- 2 Kicks moving back (1-8)
- Diagonal (1-4)
- 2 Jacks or squat (5-8)
- Repeater side leg (1-8)
- Over the top (1-4)
- U-turn (5-8)
Repeat left lead
**After this combo, face front after "U turn" for
next combo.
Combo 5:
- Basic up,up, lunge 2 and exit (1-8)
- Knee lift off left end, 2 jacks on floor (or squat
right foot on step & back to floor) (1-8)
- Over the top 2x (1-8)
- Knee lift back & walk to front (1-4)
- V-step left (5-8)
Repeat leading left.

The Gay Gasper move in combo 2 has a variation for those who
like to indulge. "Ski": The first time you execute
you facing side of board getting ready to step up with
left foot....
- Counts 1,2: step, lift right knee.
- Count 3: return right foot to floor.
- Count 4: simultaneously-right foot hops on board,
it should be in front & left foot hops to back..like
you are skiing.
- Count 5: reverse of count 4, left foot to front,
right to back.
- Count 6: right knee lift.
- Counts 7 & 8: step down right, then left.
