I start out with a light warm up that previews what is to come, followed by a stretch.
I start out with an arms session. This usually involves punches, hooks, and uppercuts on both sides, then I isoloate one arm at a time and "burn it up". This is usually only about ten minutes.
We then do about a two minute conditioning break, jumping the "air" rope or jogging in place.
We next do a leg session. Front kicks, round kicks, side kicks with alternating legs then isolating to fatigue.
One more conditiong break, usually squats or lunges or whatever I can come up with in the "sculpting" patterns section at this site.
Next comes the best part of the class. We do combinations of the punches and kicks we worked on in the arms and legs sections.
Some sample combinations are:
We close class with abs and streching.
I am second degree black belt in Tang Soo Do so most of my techniques are martial arts oriented. My son says I should call my class "constant karate", cause we keep it going constantly once we start.
Hope some of this is useful because I have used this site to pick up some tips and feel I should give some back.
