Downhill Ski over the line

This is a [Other] pattern from (pattern 7667)

Everyone in class stands on a line painted on the floor of the pool, chest deep in water. The object is to jump side-to-side over the black line, bringing both knees up to the chest, like mogul skiing, quickly touching down at each side.

The object is to use the hands and arms to keep the upper body stable and stationary, while working hard from the waist down. We hop side-to-side 20 times, then turn a quarter turn to the side, and hop forward and back over the line, 20 times, then turn a quarter turn again, and begin hopping side to side over the line, etc, until a full circle has been completed. This really gets the heart rate up there! My class loves this.
