Lower Body Exertube Exercises

Here are a couple of exercises for lower body using
the tubes:
Partner up as in the pattern
Partner up with exertubes
Step way back from each other and do squats, you can squat
and do rows or just squats. Puts you in perfect squat
position. A great way to teach someone form if they are
formless.
Inner outer thighs - quads and hamstrings
You will need a step and a step mat
- 1. Thread the tubing under the step
- 2. Sit so your butt is at the very end (short end)
- 3. Place the handles over your shoes so the long plastic
handle is under the sole of your feet.
- 4. Place feet together and lay all the way back on the
step, head should be resting at the other short end, don't
let it hang off.
- 5. Bring legs straight up and together
- 6. Open and close legs 16x
- 7. Now lower and lift left 16x
Begin reducing to 8's, 4's, 2's, and then finish with down -
up - open - close.
Cue them to be sure back is flat on the step. If these exercises
bother anybody's back, they can do them on the floor or replace
the tubing with ankle weights.
