Around we go
This is a
Step pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 6374)
Combo 1
- Corner to corner knees (8)
- 1 Repeater knee (8)
- Corner to corner knees (8)
- 1 Repeater knee (8)
Combo 2
- Up, up / 1 jack on the bench (4)
- Down, down / 1 jack on the floor (4)
- 2X Run, run right lead (8)
- Up, up / 1 jack on the bench (4)
- Down, down / 1 jack on the floor (4)
- 2X Run, run right lead (8)
(I do this combo switching leads when I teach it, but do
the same lead leg both times through when I put the
combos together, otherwise it isn't self-reversing.)
Combo 3
- Around the world 2x (32)
- First time with knees, second time with side leg lift
(My version of the around the world isn't the same as the
definition on this site. Mine is more like a step knee
straddle, then step knee and switch sides on the floor like
part of a corner to corner move, two time through to take you
all the way around the bench. If that's confusing, please help
me find a better way to explain.)
Combo 4
- Up, up turning to face west wall, lunge right/left/right,
then double lunge each side exiting right (16)
- Diagonal, you are still facing west wall (4)
- 2 Jacks on the floor moving back (4)
- Diagonal (4)
- 2 Jacks on the floor moving back (4)
Combo 5
- 2 Shuffle turnsteps, you're facing back of room (8)
- Horseshoe (8)
- 2 Stomps (4)
- Over the top (4)
- 2 Stomps (4)
- Over the top (4)
Combo 6
- Knee, kick, knee moving back (12)
- Diagonal (4)
- Reverse turn (4)
- Over the top (4)
Do all combos with the left lead.
All but Combo 3 are self-reversing. For Combo 3 I do some
turnsteps then a side up to switch leads.
Hope you enjoy this. I used it for the step half of a
step/hi-lo combo class I subbed for and the class was able
to follow and got a great workout, or so they told me!
