Intensity Booster

This is a Step pattern from (pattern 6426)

This is a combination I like to add in if I feel like I need to make my class sweat.
Step is horizontal, begin right lead.
Combo is 32 counts and self reversing.

Repeat left lead.

The nice part about it is that these moves can easily be powered up for maximum intensity, or they can be done at low impact for the beginners in the class. I like to demonstrate it first without any hops, but once the class understands the moves I show power.

*To power the first half of the L-step I step up right, hop and pull the left knee up (1,2) then step off left and kick the right leg up (3,4)

**To power the end of the L-step I step up right and add a hop on the right with a left leg glute squeeze (1,2) then step off left, right (3,4)

***To do power Charleston kicks I step up left, then hop on the left with a right leg kick (1,2) then I jog down right and lunge the left leg back (3,4)

To keep these low intensity, take out the hops so one foot is always on the floor. I hope you enjoy this pattern. Please email me with any questions or comments.
