2-count Taylor Shuffle
This is a
Hi/Lo pattern from
www.turnstep.com.
(pattern 6498)
Hi-lo pattern, 32 count self-reversing.
Begin on right facing front.
- Shuffle right (2)
- Pivot turn toward right wall with a left lead (2)
- (now facing left wall) Kick ball change left lead (2)
- March left right facing front as you perform (2)
- Single lunges left and right (4)
- Double lunge left with optional 360 degree turn to
right shoulder (4)
- Grapevine left with hamstring curl on count 4 (4)
- 2 Additional hamstring curls with optional right turn
to back wall (4)
- Grapevine right with hamstring curl on count 4 (4)
If you did the optional turn on the left grapevine, you
are facing the back wall doing the right grapevine
- 2 Additional hamstring curls with optional left turn to
front wall. (4)
Repeat from top with a shuffle left, pivot turn right lead, etc.
I teach the shuffle/ pivot as a shuffle/ mambo and march
4 first. You can alternate right to left as you teach since it
changes the lead leg. I teach the kick ball change by itself
with marches in between before adding it to the mix. I then
teach the grapevine series facing front, then begin turning
to the rear, practicing many times. Then I go through the
entire 32 facing front (except for the pivot) several times
before performing the hamstring curl turns.
