Turn-it up!

This is a Hi/Lo pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 6230)

I teach a 1 1/2 hour class on Saturdays here in Panama City. The class is broken down into 30 min hi/lo, 30 minute step, and 30 toning. The below is what I use for the hi/lo. Everyone really seems to like it. Enjoy! This is my first submission, I hope you can follow it!

This begins with Right lead having the "beat"

Block 1

(Repeat 4 times)
Put some attitude into it and step it out!! :)

Block 2

(Repeat 4 times)
*(Kick-kick slide is an exercise that uses your side leg abductors. for a right lead stand on your left leg, with your right leg kick across your body (at about ankle height) twice and then side-slide out to the right)

Block 3

(Repeat 2 times)
**(Key is to remember that you are coming out of the kick-kick slide, let your body automatically go into the left lunge--your body will naturally go that way with the momentum...)

Block 4

(Repeat 2 times--both sides)
This is the best part for the class, really have them get down and do the "football" moves--hup/hup

Block 5

(Repeat both sides 2 times)
Your advanced students can cross behind on the doubles!!

This is a lot of fun, if I have made this clear with this description. You can teach each block and go through them 2 or 3 times each before you move to the next. Teach the kick-kick slide during your warm-up, this helps when you move to the actual floor work. Oh, use 145bpm for your intermediate/advanced folks. All levels really love this routine. Good luck.
