Wild and Crazy Intervals

This is a [Other] pattern from www.turnstep.com. (pattern 6238)

I don't know if many of you do any intervals or circuit classes. Lately my students have wanted something a little different and harder without changing the class format too much. So I've incorporated intervals (the class stays together with everyone doing the same thing) and circuits (the class splits into groups and goes to different stations).

Here are some of my stranger ideas for the intervals/circuits anaerobic/work segments:

I do these segments for 1-2 minutes then a recovery segment working upper or lower body to allow the heart rate to come down safely (squats, lunges upright rows, etc.)

In between these intervals, I do traditional step or hi/lo depending on class format. I've gotten great responses from class members about this and wanted to pass it along.
